Here at Adobe Veterinary Center we love to teach eager and friendly people. We offer our extern program to students who want to learn. We give vet students the opportunity to work with either the small animal (3 vets) or large animal veterinarians (3 vets). The small animal species breakdown: 80% canine, and 20% feline. The large animal species breakdown: 75% equine, 10% caprine, 10% porcine (Potbelly Pig), and the remaining 5% is mixed between bovine, ovine and camelids.
Some of our guidelines/useful information:
- We expect you to be actively learning while at Adobe Veterinary Center to allow you to get the best out of your time here.
- Must be currently enrolled in Veterinary School.
- You must carry your own professional liability insurance either through your school or through the AVMA. Proof of insurance is required.

- In the event of an emergency, we do ask that you stand back out of the way

- No questions in front of the clients. The doctor’s will be happy to answer questions after the appointment is completed.
- If large animal is slow we expect students to jump in and work with the small animal veterinarians and vice versa. Winter is normally slower for large animal.
