Small Animal Veterinary Technician at Adobe Veterinary Center

Adobe Veterinary Center, a busy, fast-paced, multi-doctor, multi-species center in Northeast Tucson is looking for a full-time Small Animal Technician who will become a critical part of our team
Qualified candidates must have exceptional interpersonal skills, be hardworking, be self-motivated, and able to multi-task, prioritize, show attention to detail and maintain a high level of efficiency while continuing to provide superior service to patients and their owners.
We do not allow unnatural hair colors, visible tattoos or piercings other than earrings and we do drug testing and background checks. Adobe uses a Tier advancement program. Salary is based on your tier level, and you are in control of your advancement. (advancement is prohibited in probationary periods)
Applicant must have a flexible schedule and be able to work 4 shifts a week 7:30 am to around 6 pm to include Saturday shifts.
A minimum of one-year technician experience in a veterinary clinic or completion of a veterinary technician program is REQUIRED for this position. Small animal technicians are expected to set up for all procedures and surgeries, place catheters, intubate patients as well as monitor anesthesia. They will also need to be able to write records, draw up vaccines, perform fecal tests, urinalysis, run in-house blood work, and prepare all outgoing lab work and care for hospitalized patients. All technicians are also room techs and spend a lot of time educating owners. Knowledge of Improved software is a plus. CVT license is also a plus but not required.
