Veterinary Technician Assistant

Join our team supporting both small and large animal patients in a fast-paced veterinary environment. Veterinary Technician Assistants play an important role in patient care, hospital organization, and treatment area support while working closely with veterinarians and technicians.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient restraint, handling, and daily patient care
- Prepare patients for treatments, procedures, and discharge
- Support laboratory testing, record keeping, and treatment area organization
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain exam rooms, treatment areas, surgery suites, cages, stalls, and hospital equipment
- Sterilize instruments and maintain surgical packs and supplies
- Turn over and prepare surgery and treatment areas between procedures
- Restock supplies and maintain inventory in patient care areas
- Receive and organize shipments and report discrepancies
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized hospital environment
- Work efficiently with the veterinary team to support daily operations
Qualifications
- Previous veterinary assistant or technician assistant experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for providing compassionate animal care
- Flexible schedule, including rotating Saturday shifts
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the day
- Comfortable working with both small and large animal patients
- Ability to work safely in a busy veterinary hospital environment
