Clinic Supervisor

sassy"I came to live at Adobe 8 yrs ago when my previous owner was unable to facilitate my health needs. I have a chronically inflamed bladder as well as very bad hips! The staff at Adobe was very kind to take me in as their "Clinic Supervisor."

My days consist of cat naps on my bed located on Dr. Aimee Rodden's desk as well as making the rounds in the clinic. The boarding staff provides me with breakfast and dinner as well as my medications. I enjoy the attention and care that I get everyday at Adobe!"

dana-r"I was born and raised in Tucson and attended Northern Arizona University majoring in accounting. I have two daughter with my husband of 21 years. Thirteen years later with large animal technician experience under my belt, I now serve as Adobe’s team leader. I enjoy this role as it provides variety in my work days, the ability to work outside, to help others, and to support my awesome co-workers!

My own pets include Fiona (Great Pyrenees/Anatolian shepherd), Luna (Shepherd mix), and Loki (Lab mix). In my free time I enjoy spending time with family, hanging out at my kid's and granddaughter, or floating in our pool."

Dana K.
Large Animal Technician, Certified Veterinary Technician

dana_ksmall""I graduated from the Pima Community College Veterinary Technician Program in 2008, and received my certification the following year. Born and raised in Tucson. My son is a bull rider. I am very proud of him as he has been the state champion numerous times. He is currently in high school rodeo.

I have multiple cattle that my son practices on: Wolfy, Nitro, Zeus, Presley, Holy Shaggo and the newest Paint it Black. I also have 4 quarter horses: Albany, Scooter, Pistol and Rocky. A goat named Raven, and can’t forget my dogs. My desire as a veterinary technician was to work with livestock, which I have the opportunity to do everyday now. When I was in school we drove by Adobe and I told my husband, my goal is to work there one day and here I am, been here for 8+ years."

Small Animal Technician, Certified Veterinary Technician

darcismall"As a graduate from the Pima Community College Veterinary Technology Program in 2006 I desired to work at a clinic that sees a diversity of animals. I enjoy working with cats and dogs, but it’s so exciting to work with horses, goats, and pigs as well! Shortly after graduating from PCC with an associate in Veterinary Technology, I passed the State and National board exams giving me the title of a Certified Veterinary Technician. I am a veterinary technician because I love animals and enjoy teaching people how to take care of their pets, so they can live long, healthy, and happy lives.

In 1999, I moved here with my family from St. Louis, MO after my Dad retired. Today, you’ll find me spending time with my daughters Claire (born March 2013) and Samantha (born November 2015), my husband, Greg, as well as my wonderful pets: Ruby (7yr old Miniature Schnauzer), Rocco (6yr old Boston Terrier/Pug mix), Sylvia (8yr old brown tabby cat), Lafawnduh (2yr black DSH), as well as Ceil and Louis, my 25yr old Russian tortoises. When I am not at work I am camping, hiking, playing sports (especially basketball or golf), or traveling."

I have 4 dogs, Motz, Beau, Kolbi, and Mehana. I also have two cats named Velcro and Zoey, and various reptiles. I enjoy reading, riding my bike, kayaking, and camping all over Arizona and the Southwest with my dog. My favorite aspect of working at Adobe is getting to work with all the different species that we see. Adobe is open on Saturday which allows me to work as a Veterinary Technician part time, while still teaching full time during the week.”

I recently received my associate's degree in Veterinary Technology and General Studies from Pima Community College. I decided to join the team at Adobe Veterinary Center because of the wonderful atmosphere, all of the adorable animals, and the experience I can gain in my new career. In my free time I enjoy archery, hiking, off-roading, cooking and spending time with my fur-babies. I have five ferrets (Tristen, Payton, & Brooke), and two cats (Tatum and Paul)."

Small Animal Technician

"I have lived in Tucson for nearly fourteen years. Throughout these times, I took lessons with many well-known Tucson equestrian trainers. I graduated from the University of Arizona in 2013 with a Bachelor’s degree in Equine Animal Sciences. That same year, I moved to Denver where I was offered a teaching position at Denver’s Equestrian Riding School located in Littleton. I gained many valuable experiences working in a facility with roughly fifty unique horses. I worked with many talented individuals and cherished the striking terrain of Colorado! I decided to return to the charming desert for another extraordinary opportunity to work at Adobe. It has been an exhilarating transition to continue my knowledge of preventative care for large animals under the coaching of their skillful veterinarians.

I am enthusiastic to be apart of Adobe’s professional establishment, and believe strongly that every animal should be treated with detailed care; to ensure it is an encouraging experience for everyone.

I have always had a profound concern for the overall being and happiness of animals. I grew up in San Diego in a household with cats and dogs. I lived around the corner from a local riding stable where I had my first pony ride. Since then, my fierce passion for horses was unleashed. I followed my dream that has lead to my professional career path.

Today, I have two playful, lively cats and a queensland heeler that I adore! I spend a lot of energy riding and training my bright and willing Thoroughbred mare. I enjoy spending time with friends, photography, reading books, and practicing yoga."

"I moved to Tucson from the Midwest (Indiana/Kentucky) 7 years ago along with my husband of 12 years, Josh. We love our girl "Emmie" an English Mastiff, and our boy "Guster" a Labrador Mix. pattie"I was born in California, and have lived in Colorado and Hawaii working on ranches. I have been riding horses for most of my life, including cutting horses and now barrel racing. I feel extremely blessed to have a beautiful daughter, Elizabeth, who shares the same passion. Working with young horses is challenging and fun and my buckskin filly "Waimea" is my newest addition. I am currently training Waimea for barrel racing. I've also spent many years sailing; from competitive Hobie Cat racing, working on charter sailboats in the USVI to having crossed the Atlantic. I feel very fortunate to have joined the wonderful team at Adobe Veterinary Center and look forward to sharing the vision of helping people and their pets."
